The challenge
Nkuku’s existing eCommerce platform struggled to meet their growing B2B needs, particularly in terms of managing complex pricing structures and customer segmentation. They needed the ability to set custom pricing and order rules for specific customer groups, a feature their existing platform lacked.
To support their ambitious growth plans, Nkuku needed a scalable solution that integrated seamlessly with their bespoke ERP. However, many third-party platforms fell short, lacking the flexibility required to unify their systems. Nkuku also needed a solution that could be implemented quickly and adopted easily by their team and end customers alike.
The solution
Through a referral from Brightpearl, Nkuku discovered SparkLayer. Our solution enabled them to improve their pricing structure and wholesale customer management, including establishing minimum order quantities and custom basket thresholds. Nkuku also created customer group rules for segmentation, including access to specific payment methods, creating a scalable framework for growth and automation.
By seamlessly integrating with Nkuku’s Shopify storefront and custom-built ERP via our SDK, SparkLayer delivered a ‘plug-and-play’ solution that allowed them to formalise and scale their wholesale processes.
One standout feature, our Sales Agent tool, revolutionised how Nkuku operate at trade shows and pop-up events. With access to customer accounts and the ability to place orders on behalf of clients, Nkuku demonstrated the power of self-service, enhancing their B2B relationships in real time.
The results
